I've Found My Soulmate

I have found my soulmate. I'd like to say that I'm joking, but I'm truly not. If it were possible to marry a bag, I would marry this one.

This bag and I were made for each other.

Image from the Michael Kors website
It's the MICHAEL Michael Kors Jet Set (my favorite collection!) Top-Zip Saffiano Tote and it costs $248. It comes in many colors, but I chose this wonderfully versatile caramel color. There are many pockets to hold things (including a large zip pocket that is perfect for holding things that you don't want to be visible when you open your bag like medications or gum and a pocket that is the perfect fit for an iPhone to slip into) and while it is a medium sized bag, it actually holds quite a bit! I haven't tested it yet, but I think an iPad would fit inside. My favorite thing about the bag is actually the top zipper which is the smoothest thing I've ever done; it's like a knife cutting through hot butter! I love that the bag didn't feel out of place when I took it to the movies tonight wearing shorts and a striped top (and a large box of Junior Mints fit inside!), but it's also pretty enough to bring tomorrow to the bridal luncheon I'm attending.

I've been lusting after this bag for the past sixth months and my parents and sister surprised me by buying it for me as a going-away-to-college gift. And I am absolutely smitten :)

Recent Purchases

Hello again! I know it's been far too long since I've posted. So I thought that I would share with you some recent purchases that I'm really loving right now. :) (I know that my chest of drawers isn't the best background, but it's the best I could do! I'm in the middle of finally organizing my room after moving in November...school kind of stole my life!).

 Nordstrom's Shirt, $49
(perfect for tying over a skirt or wearing as a tunic with leggings!)

Nordstrom's Skirt (no longer available), featured in "Sunday at the Club"
Madewell Sweater, $69.50
(expensive, but totally worth it...it's so soft!)

Hope everyone's having a good week so far! :) Have you bought something recently that you're in love with?

Sunday at the Club

Top: Target (Similar), Skirt: Halogen at Nordstrom's, Shoes: Nine West, Watch: Nordstrom's, Necklace: Alex Woo, Bag: Dooney & Bourke (stolen from my mum's closet)

I graduated high school on Friday (does this mean I have to be a responsible adult now?) so my grandparents are in town. We went to Sunday brunch at the country club this morning -- yes, the country club is the only kind of club I've ever been to.

I've had this Target top for a while and I thought it would really pop with this new skirt from Nordstrom's (I love sales!). These Nine West shoes were purchased for graduation and my Alex Woo N necklace (the same one seen on The Carrie Diaries!) was my graduation present, which I'm absolutely in love with and have been wearing with everything.

In any case, I'm very excited about this summer because I'm going to have a lot more free time to read magazines and blogs and to work on my very own blog. In addition to this, I'm going to try to figure out how to use my mum's nice camera and tripod so she doesn't have to continue taking my pictures for me.

Hi world! I'm Nicole. Because I have a list of fashion blogs that I read daily that about a mile long and the stack of fashion magazines beside my bed is forever threatening to fall over, I thought that maybe that was a good enough reason to attempt to start a fashion blog myself.

I'm an American who is in her last year of high school and will be attending university next year to study history, communications, and French. I'm not sure yet if I'd like to pursue a future in the magazine or fashion industry but the knowledge of how to run a blog would probably help with any career.

In any case, I'm not sure exactly what will be featured on this blog yet. My outfits, highlights from online collections, thoughts on fashion shows or magazines...we'll just wait and see. If you happen to read this, then please comment and let me know what you think!
