About

Hi, I'm Nicole, the girl behind Flower Crowns and Revolutionaries. When one of my friends described my aesthetic as "flower crowns and revolutionaries," I knew that was the perfect title for a blog that encompasses my love of history and theatre.

I'm a 24-year-old student, originally from North Carolina. I graduated from Elon University with a BA in Communications and History and a minor in French.

Last year, I earned my Master's degree in Culture, Policy, and Management at City University of London. While in London, I was a writer for BroadwayWorld UK and an intern at my dream theatre, the Donmar Warehouse, in addition to volunteering at the Charles Dickens Museum.

In October, I moved to New York City where I now work as a Client Success Manager for Spektrix. If you have recommendations for the city, please let me know because I'm trying to do lots of exploring.

You can access my professional portfolio here

This blog covers theatre, history, film, and some personal things as well. If you have an album, show, exhibit, film, or book you'd like me to review, just shoot me an email.

You can also find me over on YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram. I try to put up at least one YouTube video a week so make sure to subscribe.

If you'd like to get in touch, feel free to send me a message on Twitter. For business enquiries, please email me at nbackman16@gmail.com. xx
