March Favourites!

Fashion & Beauty

I just bought this dress at H&M just this past Saturday, but it's definitely my favorite fashion purchase of this month! It was only 20 pounds but it looks like it cost much more. It's a fairly standard black lace dress, but the entire back is just lace. It makes me feel like Taylor Swift in the Blank Space music video, so I had to buy it!

When my parents came over, I had them bring my Madewell booties because I was missing them! All of the girls over here wear booties (much more than in the States) and they're so perfect for wearing to class or just around town. Definitely a favorite this month!

I have a tendency of finding a mascara and then sticking to it for long periods of time. For example, I've been using a Clinique mascara for over a year now...however, I managed to cry all of my makeup off telling my family goodbye at the airport and had forgotten to pack my makeup in my carry-on bag (oops). So I headed into a Boots in the terminal to find some new mascara. To be honest, I picked this one because it was the cheapest one they had by Rimmel London, which is my favorite brand for lipsticks. I actually really like it and have been wearing it ever since!

Food
In the past week, I've become obsessed with coating green vegetables in breadcrumbs and sticking them in the oven. Asparagus fries! Zucchini fries! Just watch, next thing you know I'll be making green bean fries. But seriously this is such a delicious way to eat vegetables.

I also discovered these vegan Mexican bean burgers which are such a perfect alternative to a meat dish. I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't like cooking with raw meat so these are perfect. They're spicy, but not so much that it kills your taste buds!

Entertainment
In preparation for seeing Miss Saigon again last week, I listened to the Miss Saigon 2014 cast album all month long. Okay, to be fair, I also listened to it for most of February and January and...every other month since it was released.

I started reading The Creation of Anne Boleyn by Susan Bordo on the plane to London and it is a fantastic book. Basically, it examines all of the lies about Anne Boleyn that we're taught and how those lies were produced by looking both at Anne's life and media portrayals of her since her time. A must-read for anyone who likes the Tudors.

And that's it for this month's favourites! What have you been loving with the month of March?
